Join ECTA board member Joe Sandulli on an equestrian trail ride adventure across Ipswich and Hamilton on Sunday, August 16th.
We will leave at 10:00 am from Joe's house at 157 County Road (Rt 1A) in Ipswich, and head through Appleton Farms and across 1A to the New England Biolabs campus. We'll cross over to the Sears and Clark properties, connecting to the Donovan Hill Trail. Heading back we'll follow trails along Moulton Street, Sears and Appleton's. This is a fantastic opportunity to see how all of these incredible properties connect - you probably never even knew some of these trails were there!
The route is about 8.5 miles and the pace will be mostly walking and trotting (similar to a hilltopping pace in the hunt field). The ride should take about 3 hours. We'll have light refreshments on Joe's back porch after the ride. There is parking for up to 9 trailers at the house and additional parking is available at Bird Field off of Waldingfield Road.
Please note: Ground wasps are active this time of year and can be disturbed by groups of horses.
Advance registration is required for this event. You must have your own horse and helmets are required.
