Membership Information

ECTA Membership is on a rolling basis – your membership is valid for a year after joining or renewing. A postcard or email reminding members to renew their membership is sent to all members one month before their membership renewal is due.

Members receive an identifying ECTA membership card along with 2 decals for their car and for their horse trailer (if appropriate) regular e-newsletters, bi-annual newsletters, important trail condition notices, landowner property usage notes; a listing of up coming events, and messages from the Executive Director. Full-size folding area trail maps may be obtained on request, for trails in Hamilton, Wenham, Topsfield, West Newbury and Ipswich for $6 each. These maps show all publicly accessible trails.  Trail information is also kept up-to-date on this web site.

ECTA Trail Cards

Many landowners require that trail users who walk or ride across their lands are current members of ECTA.  Upon joining or renewing, you will be sent a card(s) with effective dates in order for you to identify yourself as a member to such a landowner.  We no longer provide equestrian bridle/saddle tags.

Appleton Farms – Trustees of Reservations (TTOR)

ECTA members who wish to use Appleton Farms trails must follow the Trustees of Reservations rules. Equestrians are welcome to ride on the Appleton Farms beautiful trails, but are REQUIRED to join TTOR.  NOTE:  TTOR no longer has the Green Horses or Green Dogs programs.

Myopia Hunt Club – Equestrian Permit
