Thanks for the Trails 5K is back but “re-imagined” to address the concerns of the global pandemic. Although we can’t all do this together, we hope to keep something of the awesome vibe established with the former Gabe’s Run and get folks out on some beautiful trails! A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Gabriel Pacione Memorial Scholarship Fund.
This will be a virtual race on courses chosen by you, the runners, and completed between November 21 and 29, 2020.
Registration Fee: $25. Registration will be open until midnight Sunday November 29th.
Fleece ECTA Hats guaranteed for first 100 registered runners. Will be mailed out after the race along with prizes.
Divisions: Men's and Women's 25 & Under, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, Over 55.
Prizes for winners in the following categories:
- Men and women overall, and five age groups for male and female runners.
- Fastest average run time for a family (with kids)(minimum 2 runners).
- Runner with the most vertical feet gained in a 5K.
- Runner with the most 5K runs during the race period.
- A few randomly drawn runners will also receive great prizes!
Time submissions: Deadline to submit your time is Tuesday December 1st. For prize eligibility, please submit evidence of your time and distance (GPS tracks or even a picture of yourself in running gear holding a stopwatch with your time). Family participants please share a photo of your group! Submit by email to office@ectaonline.org.
Results: will be sent to all registrants Wednesday December 2nd, posted on ECTA website and on Active Results.
