The Town of Ipswich Open Space Program will be hosting an Opening Event and Guided Winter Tree Identification Walk at the Turkey Hill Conservation Area on Pineswamp Road December 8th, 2012 from 10am-12pm. Details to follow, but we wanted you to save the date on your calendars.
As brief background, the Turkey Hill Conservation Area property was acquired by the Town of Ipswich using Open Space Bond funds in 2006. The Land Use and Management Plan was adopted by the Conservation Commission in 2011, and public access to the property was finalized over the past year through combined resources of the Town and volunteer efforts. The Town looks forward to acknowledging all the parties that played a role in making this property another success story of the Open Space Program, and taking a brisk guided winter tree identification walk on one of the highest undeveloped hilltops remaining in Ipswich!
