Riverbend Trail Walk

Join ECTA Trail Stewards Deb Hamilton and Ellen Alden on an early Spring exploration of the Riverbend Conservation Area, West Newbury from 10-11:30 AM.  Park at the Mill Pond Parking Lot, then we'll cross Main Street to follow the Indian River to ancient dam ruins and the site of a proposed CPA funded $40,000 boardwalk/bridge to cross into "Riverbend West", a lovely, rolling wooded spot with glacial erratics, big trees and spring ephemerals.  We'll explore both sides of the Indian River, and take in the natural and man-made features that highlight the area.

Monday, April 29 is the West Newbury Town Meeting where funding will be voted, so West Newbury residents are especially encouraged to participate in this hike to fully appreciate this outstanding town-owned parcel!
