Join Board Members Joe Sandulli and Dan Mayer on a guided tree identification walk around the Ipswich River Watershed Association "Riverbend" campus and neighboring properties.

We will begin at the IRWA parking lot and will first explore the trails on this publicly accessible property.  Next we will move onto the private trails adjacent to Riverbend.  ECTA is currently working on securing trail easements across these private trails so that the entire trail network will be open to the public.

During the walk, Joe and Dan will point out significant riparian and upland trees and their notable characteristics for identification.  This short walk of about .75 miles is easily accessible to walkers of all ages and abilities.  Leashed dogs are allowed.  The walk should take about an hour.

Dan Mayer, president of Mayer Tree Service, studied arboriculture and forestry at the Stockbridge School of Agriculture, is a Massachusetts Certified Arborist and has been involved in the tree care industry since 1984.  Dan joined ECTA as a board member in 2012.
