Join Board Members Joe Sandulli and Dan Mayer on a guided tree identification walk around the Ipswich River Watershed Association "Riverbend" campus and neighboring properties.

We will begin at the IRWA parking lot and will first explore the trails on this publicly accessible property.  Next we'll follow the private trails adjacent to Riverbend over to the Julia Bird Reservation.  During the walk, Joe and Dan will point out significant riparian and upland trees and their notable characteristics for identification.  Leashed dogs are allowed.  The walk should take about a 2 hours.

Dan Mayer, president of Mayer Tree Service, studied arboriculture and forestry at the Stockbridge School of Agriculture, is a Massachusetts Certified Arborist and has been involved in the tree care industry since 1984.  Dan joined ECTA as a board member in 2012.
