Virtual Race 1: 3 Obelisks Run- Appleton Farms segment

Parking: Just past the railroad tracks going west on Waldingfield, off 1A in Ipswich there is a 1-2 car area to park. Go through or around the big white gate on the south side of the road jog on a dirt road to the first Obelisk.
Course: From the first obelisk continuing south a few strides and turn right on the dirt path/road, proceed until almost at Waldingfield turn left on path, follow path which parallels Waldingfield then Goodhue, then Highland, turn left on the farm road and continue to the first right then over the hill on the path and through a quasi-gate into the woods where you take an immediate left along the stone wall, up the hill, continuing past the second obelisk on your left continuing downhill, bending right in a field and following the wide grass ride path to the first left where you turn left and follow to the finish at the 3d obelisk.
Race Overview:
The Essex County Trails Association (ECTA) is pleased to announce its first ever virtual training trail running competition using the free 
app! The competition is free and is open to any runner, although only ECTA members will be eligible for a prize. There will be prizes for each men's and women's age group winners. Age groups are: under 25, 25-50, over 50.
The virtual competition will begin May 1, 2016 and last until August 31, 2016. Prizes will be awarded at the ECTA Run for the Trails race on September 17, 2016. Runners can compete as often as they choose, with their times measured by any GPS tracking device and uploaded to Strava and winners will be determined by their segment ranking as reported by Strava.
